The first meeting of the New Year for the International Stamp Club in NYC is Saturday, 3 January. Here is the info from Dan Rieber:
Greetings to all and I hope all had a happy Chanukah and a merry Christmas.
The next Stamp Club Meeting will be Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 9:00 AM -1PM Midtown Plaza Community Room H 320 E 25th St Ground Floor, as always.
Bring your, stamps, covers, to sell/ trade and of course your good cheer. If anyone has a presentation on a stamp related subject that they would like to present, please let me know so we can plan to incorporate it into a future meeting. Please call your fellow members, who do not have email, to remind them.
Once again, I will have more items from the Marty Whitman collection for sale and auction. There will be a dedicated club sale box with these items in it for the for as long as they last. All proceeds go to support and sustain the club.
Last month was a record month for the club. Total value of items sold was $290 dollars. Included was a US album (from the Marty Whitman collection) filled with good items, with catalog value well over $300, sold for $105 dollars. For as long as I have been a member, which is about 14 years now, this takes the cake for a single lot. Then one person had 9 items which sold for $150. This again is a record for a single person with items in the auction. There were 41 lots of which 24 sold. About 59% which is lower than usual.
Sadly this was Rita Immerman's last meeting. She will be moving down south to be with her son and has liquidated her collection. It will be in the next Harmers Auction. We bid Rita a fond farewell. We will miss her smile and always friendly presence. Best of Luck Rita.

Also I would like to welcome Shakeel, a new member from Staten Island. Thanks to Abad, who recruited him.
We will be having an auction as usual, so pick out those choice items for your fellow members to bid on.
I will be collecting $25 dues for the new year so be ready to renew your membership, if you have not already.
We will be ringing in the New Year with a party. There will be food and dink.So come one come all.
